Knesset Member Wants Neturei Karta MAMZERIM Classified As Terrorists

Members of the Neturei Karta sect attacked Knesset Member Yaakov Katz (National Union) last week when he arrived at a Mea Shearim synagogue in Jerusalem.
The MK responded with slurs and is now planning to submit a bill which would classify Neturei Karta as terrorists.
The incident began when a number of Neturei Karta members gathered around MK Katz as he entered a synagogue in Mea Shearim and demanded that he leave the premises.
Older members of the synagogue then advised Katz to leave before being attacked by the violent mob.
Katz decided to respond by calling the mob members "Nazis" and "terrorists."
In the past, Neturei Karta members have been known to attack other public figures such as Interior Minister Eli Yishai and Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger.
The MK is now promoting a bill aiming to classify members of the Sikrikim group of the Neturei Karta faction as members of a terrorist organization for their activities against state institutions.
"We are separating the vast haredi public, Eda Haredit and various Hassidic movements from members of this group which is a fringe phenomenon," MK Katz said.
Sources in his offices said that he has already secured the support of Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin and various haredi MKs.
"We are currently collecting materials and photos of the group members and have received the support of Eda Haredit elements. The materials are being transferred to the Shin Bet and the police as part of bill's prep work," a source in Katz's office said.
"Katz himself was born in Mea Shearim and intends on visiting the site accompanied by a large group of people to prove that Jews cannot be expelled from synagogues in Israel," he added.
