Remember When Susan Rice Said Obama Purged Syria of Chemical Weapons? Yep, she lied about that, too.

President Obama’s former national security adviser, Susan Rice, was busy covering up a lot of things during her time in the Obama administration. She blamed the Benghazi attack on a YouTube video, she lied about spying on the Trump transition team, and she said Obama purged chemical weapons from Syria.
Tell that to the dozens of children who died in the recent sarin gas attack on Tuesday. The images of them suffering and struggling for breath pushed the U.S. to action. President Trump ordered a missile strike on an airfield believed to be a storage facility for Syria President Bashar al-Assad’s chemical weapons.
So, if sarin gas was deployed in Syria, why did Rice say this in January:
“We were able to find a solution that didn’t necessitate the use of force that actually removed the chemical weapons that were known from Syria, in a way that the use of force would never have accomplished. Our aim in contemplating the use of force following the use of chemical weapons in August of 2013 was not to intervene in the civil war, not to become involved in the combat between Assad and the opposition, but to deal with the threat of chemical weapons by virtue of the diplomacy that we did with Russia and with the Security Council. We were able to get the Syrian government to voluntarily and verifiably give up its chemical weapons stockpile.”
Riiiight.
Former Secretary of State John Kerry said the same thing in 2014 during an appearance on Meet the Press.
“We struck a deal where we got 100 percent of the chemical weapons out,” Kerry said.
100%?
President Obama, too, was confident the 2013 mission was successful:
“The most lethal declared chemical weapons possessed by the Syrian regime were destroyed by dedicated U.S. civilian and military professionals.”
These are all verifiable lies, courtesy of the Obama administration.
