ELDER OF ZIYON: Not only Hamas: PA summer camps teach terror too

Palestinian Media Watch reports:
Many Palestinian children participated this summer in camps that promoted hate, terror, Martyrdom-death and denial of the existence of Israel. The camps were organized by the PLO Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs and the PA's National Committee for Summer Camps, both of which are funded by the PA Budget. On its Facebook page, the National Committee for Summer Camps has listed itself as a "governmental organization." In Arabic it defines itself as "a governmental institution for children aged 6-12 years with recreational activities aimed to develop the Palestinian child in various fields."

Among the "partners and supporters," listed on the website of the PA's National Committee for Summer Camps, are UNICEF and UNDP (accessed Aug. 30, 2017).

The first photo shows a girl wearing an Arab headdress and playing the part of a terrorist, as she faces off against a boy playing an Israeli. The second and third photos show the Palestinian girl "dead" on the ground with a knife in her hand after the "Israelis" who "shot" her standing next to her. The fourth photo shows a number of children standing behind the terrorist "Martyr" lying on the ground with a Palestinian flag draped over her, as is common practice at the funeral of "Martyrs."

These photos and others that PMW posted of play-acting terror attacks don't seem to be on the Facebook page of the National Committee for Summer Camps page any more, so there may have been some sensitivity about that after PMW reported it.

But this shows that the PA is no different in teaching their kids to support and idolize terror than Hamas is. The world's embrace of the Palestinian Authority while considering Hamas a terror group is completely political and not based on their actions nor attitudes.

ELDER OF ZIYON: Hamas summer camp, 2013 (with my hit music video from 2008) Hello martyr, hello Fatah

From AFP:

Things haven't changed much since I first looked at Hamas summer camps in 2007. And 2011. And 2012.

At one of these camps, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said:that Israel has no future on "Palestinian land," meaning all of Israel.

So it is once again time to post my hit music video, "Hello Martyr, Hello Fatah" (lyrics) Soccer Dad came up with the title, I did the rest:

The definitive version: Hello martyr, hello Fatah

Earlier today Soccer Dad made a posting about to the phenomenon of Palestinian Arab summer camps that teach murder and hate, brilliantly named "Hello martyr, hello Fatah". (For those who don't get the joke, it refers to a classic Allan Sherman song, circa 1963 about a letter being written from a miserable camper at sleep-away camp. Before continuing this post you need to hear the original song; here's one from YouTube where the video isn't too irritating.)

I decided that a title like that needed lyrics, so here is the official EoZ version of:

Hello Martyr, hello Fatah

Hello martyr, hello Fatah
Here I am in Islamic Gaza
I must tell you, I'm having great fun
In my camp they teach us how to use machine guns

We blame things on the Jewish Lobby
Our hero is Dalal Mughrabi
We can march now, we can holler
And we love to pray five times a day to Allah

I keep ammo in my pocket
I just learned how to shoot a rocket
Just imagine how great I felt
When I was fitted for my first suicide belt!

We watch videos of friendly mouses
We practice mortars at Jewish houses
You remember Ahmed Fakid
He just lost his legs practicing to be a Shahid

Now my bombing's a routine task
I love wearing my new ski mask
Why should I learn a trade?
I just got my first rocket propelled grenade!

Just one problem, but it's old news
Lots of weapons, not enough Jews
But don't worry, dad and mother
I'll be practicing my new skills on my brother!

While Your Kids Are Learning to Read; Taliban 'little commandos' video

The footage shows children who appear to be as young as five-years-old firing an array of weaponry, including handguns, AK47 rifles and heavy machine guns.
Lined up in neat ranks and dressed in traditional baggy shalwar kameez, some children struggle to absorb the recoil when firing their weapons.
A group called the Turkistan Islamic Party, based in the lawless Waziristan region of north west Pakistan, is believed to have filmed the video, which is titled "Little Commandos'. It is thought the group operates camps to train militants for operations inside neighbouring Afghanistan.

An al-Qaeda-affiliated terror group posted a video online showing about 20 children practicing firing pistols and guns in the group's training camp.
Some of the children are so small the shock wave nearly knocks them over.
By the way, in case you did not notice, some of those those kids were crying "Alahu Akbkar" as they shot off their rifles.

With UNRWA cutting back, Hamas dominates Gaza summer camp sceneActivities include walking on knives, cleaning beaches and experiencing life as a security prisoner in an Israeli jail

Summer camp is supposed to be fun, right? Well, apparently not if you live in the Gaza Strip. Activities in the summer camps “We will live honorably,” organized by Hamas, include walking on nails and reliving the experience of prisoners in a mock Israeli jail.
“We will live honorably” provides activities to some 70,000 children across the Gaza Strip throughout the summer, the Quds News Network reported this week. But startling photos of the camp’s activities display children walking on nails and on knife blades.

The camp’s organizers even constructed a model of an Israeli security prison, to “reenact the daily suffering of Palestinian prisoners,” the Palestinian Maan news agency reported. The “prison,” made up of six rooms, is meant to demonstrate different aspects of treatment endured by security prisoners: an investigation room, a detention room, a confession extortion room, a solitary confinement room, a courtyard and an infirmary.
Ahmad Rantisi, one of the initiators of the prison idea, told Maan that it is meant to educate the youth about the suffering of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
“We learned that Palestinian prisoners suffer greatly for the Palestinian people. The occupation forces deny them the most basic human rights,” said camper Abdulaziz A-Saqa.

On a more positive note, environmental issues are also on the agenda of “We will live honorably.” Children from the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza took part in a camp campaign to clean the Nuseirat beach. Omar Aql, one of the camp’s directors, told Maan News Agency that the activity is meant to “strengthen the importance of volunteer work and create a clean social environment.”
Hamas’s main competitor in the Gaza Strip summer camp scene is the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which has been running Gaza Summer Games, a chain of summer camps, since 2007. According to UNRWA’s website, the camps have reached 250,000 children and have broken four Guinness world records, including the world’s largest kite flying event last year.
Apparently, however, some in Gaza were not pleased with UNRWA’s presence. In July 2011 camp facilities were vandalized and burnt to the ground. Arson also took place twice the previous year. Underfunded, UNRWA has decided to cancel Gaza Summer Games in 2012, leaving Hamas as the sole provider of recreational camps this summer.

How to spend your summer vacation: 'Experience Life Under Occupation' and 'Palestinian prisoner' camp

I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for innovative ways to keep my kids busy during the summer. This summer, we have two kids in day camp, a third preparing for his Bar Mitzva, and the older kids are all keeping themselves entertained (one still has university exams, one is still in yeshiva and two are married so that just leaves the recent high school graduate who is helping a teacher do lesson plans for next year). In England, the Church of England (yes, really) has come up with an innovative way for your older kids to spend their summer. It's called 'Experience Life Under Occupation.'
The representative organization of British Jewry - the Board of Deputies - said it was "dismayed" by this week's decision by the Church of England’s Synod to pass a motion endorsing the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI), which sends "internationals" to the West Bank to "experience life under occupation."

The Board of Deputies criticized what it called a decision to "promote an inflammatory and partisan program at the expense of its interfaith relations, the Jewish Chronicle reported.

"Justifying its decision using the views of marginal groups in Israel and the UK, the Synod has ridden rough shod over the very real and legitimate concerns of the UK Jewish community, showing a complete disregard for the importance of Anglican-Jewish relations," the board said in a statement.
Another thing you can think about doing is sending your kids to'Palestinian prisoners' camp, a new variant on past 'Palestinian' camps.
Hytham al- Madhun, one of the camp guides, explained that the mock prison set up for the camp is divided into six rooms, each simulating the incarceration conditions of Palestinian prisoners. The first room is an interrogation cell, which is where prisoners are first led once entering the prison. In this room, Madhun describes to the kids "the prisoners' firm resilience in the face of Israeli interrogators' threats and their refusal to admit the charges ascribed to them."

One of the main heroes of the camp is Ibrahim Hamed, who was the head of Hamas' military wing in Ramallah and is responsible for murdering dozens of Israelis. The guides boastfully tell the children how Hamed, who was recently sentenced to 54 life sentences, has continually refused to give his interrogators any information, including his given name.

In the next room, the children get to see what a prisoner's cell looks like, and the guides warn them of Israeli agents who pose as prisoners, trying to get the Palestinian prisoners to talk and admit to their acts. Other rooms include a solitary confinement chamber, a torture den, a room that simulates a prison hospital, and even a small prison courtyard.

Ahmad Rantisi, one of the organizers of the summer camp, said that its goal is to allow children to get a tangible experience of the suffering of Palestinian prisoners, and strengthen their belief in the protection of Palestinian land and the high price that must be paid.
My two younger kids' camp (which is supposed to be a continuation of school with less study time and with trips) went on a trip to an amusement park today. I think they're much better off than these people are. At least they won't be brainwashed.
