Israel Matzav: IDF warns 'Palestinians' to leave northern Gaza by 8:00 am
The IDF warned residents of Northern Gaza to leave the area by 8:00 am on Wednesday, in order to avoid harm in its upcoming assault. Hamas, of course, wants the human shields to stay.
The IDF was sending voice messages to residents in northern Gaza late on Tuesday, advising them to evacuate their homes by 8 a.m. Wednesday and distance themselves from Hamas operatives as part of Israeli efforts to minimize civilian harm ahead of potential strikes.
Hamas' Interior Ministry urged residents of Gaza not to heed to the IDF calls to leave their homes, saying the warning were part of Israel's "psychological war."
...
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip claimed on Tuesday that they had been receiving text messages and pre-recorded phone calls from the IDF that blame Hamas for the renewal of Israeli strikes following Hamas's rejection of the ceasefire.
Some 20,000 Palestinian civilians have heeded previous Israeli calls and left Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu had earlier warned that Israel would widen its offensive in Gaza if the rocket attacks continued. The problem is that it's not that they have to destroy the buildings - they also have to kill the Hamas terrorists. Too little of that is being done.
UPDATE 10:15 AM
The IDF extended the deadline to 9:00 am and gave the residents a map (see above) that showed them where to go (West, not South).

IDF Warns Gazans of Upcoming IAF Strikes - Defense/Security - News - Arutz Sheva
IAF airstrike in Gaza
Flash 90
The international community continues to accuse Israel of "war crimes"in its defense of Israel from hundreds of rockets from Hamas on Sunday, as the IDF launches a ground assault into Gaza.
The IDF Spokesperson's Office has released proof of one of its many warnings to Gaza's civilians to stay safe and flee targeted areas on Sunday, including a flier - shown below - warning residents to stay away from specific areas in the coming hours.
The fliers are being distributed over Gaza momentarily, the Office noted, throughout northern Gaza.
The text reads:

It should be noted that a Hamas spokesperson called for Gaza residents to act as human shields on live television earlier this week, calling the move "an effective strategy" in the PR war against Israel and encouraging Palestinian Arabs to stay in their homes despite IDF warnings to prevent casualties.
The international community has remained silent over the strategy, however, despite the fact that the Hamas-Fatah unity government in the Palestinian Authority joined several international agencies and human rights groups earlier this year.
By contrast, video footage from within Gaza indicates that the IDF has been careful not only to target only those homes marked as terrorists' dwellings, but also to warn surrounding residents to stay in safe areas during a targeted airstrike.

To the residents of Beit Lahiya,
The IDF intends to attack from the air on infrastructure and terrorists in the east of al-Atatra street to al-Satatin street, and west and north of Mavsakher Jabaliyeh.
Israel will attack in this area at any place determined to the be site of rocket fire at Israelis.
Citizens are asked to evacuate their homes until 12:00 pm on 7/13/2014 to the south of Jabaliyeh and down Badr until She'areh El-Faloja; the IAF operation will be temporary and short.
Anyone who does not heed these warnings risks his life and his family's lives.
Stay safe and be careful.

Elder Of Ziyon - Israel News: Text of Israel's leaflets being dropped on Gaza
From Ma'an:
So, Gaza residents, remember: call 02-5830746 or email to HelptoGaza2010@gmail.com when terrorists want to endanger your lives!
(By the way, the IDF has used that same phone number and email address for years, probably since Cast Lead.)
Israeli warplanes on Monday dropped warning leaflets in the northern areas of the Gaza Strip, witnesses and Israeli media reported.Ma'an blacked out the phone number and email, but Saraya.ps published it, probably without thinking.
The leaflets read:
"To the people of the Gaza Strip: The terrorists and smugglers are well aware that their terrorist acts of digging tunnels to smuggle military ammunition is a target for the Israeli Defense Forces, but they keep working and taking cover near your residences.
"Do not stand still. You are being used by terrorists who will not be by your side when you get hurt. Take responsibility for your future!"
The leaflet also provided a telephone number and email address to provide information to, with secrecy guaranteed, it added.

IDF drops leaflets on Gaza warning residents to stay away from border, terrorists
Arabic media is reporting that the IDF has been dropping leaflets onto southern Gaza Monday morning warning residents to stay safe.
The flyers, spread from Rafah to Deir al Balah, tell Gazans to stay at least 300 meters away from the border with Israel. It also urges them to stay away from rocket launchers and terrorists. The leaflets say that the terror groups pose a threat to people's lives, their families, their children and their property. The papers further said that that terrorists are firing rockets from populated areas into Israel, saying it will pursue the launchers.
Pro-terror media outlets warned other Arab newspapers in the area - and even in Egypt - not to publish the text or images of the flyers, so as not to play into the hands of the IDF and to avoid having Gazans read the "lies" of the enemy.
Similarly, Hamas has been gathering up the warnings and burning them as fast as they can, ostensibly to reduce "confusion."
And, incidentally, the entire concept of human shields doesn't work as well when the shields refuse to play along.
