Ari Goldwag - Chanukah Light

Walking in the darkness, sorrow all around
Looking for some joy, for a hopeful sound
Just when I start to give up, seems there's nothing there
A little glow appears, shining from nowhere

Chanukah light burns so bright
Lifts my soul raises my sights
Chanukah light feels so right
Eight small flames shining through the night

The darkness starts to lift now, help is on its way
Hopelessness is starting to fade away
I lift my eyes to heaven where my help is from
The light, now, from the flames shines for everyone

The light is piercing through the darkness
Shining 'til forever
There's hope and love and brotherhood
That's bringing us together
Open up your heart, make a brand new start
Chanukah's the time to take part

Daddy Dear - Ari Goldwag

Daddy dear, tell me please
Is it true what they say
In the heavens there's a cup
That gets fuller each day
And I've heard that Hashem
keeps it close nearby
And He fills it with His tears
Each time that we cry

Grandpa told me, Daddy dear
Did he tell you the same
That when sorrow strikes His people
Hashem feels all the pain
Tell me why does He cry
Far away in the sky
Tell me why, Daddy dear
Are there tearsin your eyes

Little one, little one
Is it true? Yes, it's true
Grandpa told me years ago
And his dad told him too
Fathers cry for their children
And Hashem does the same
When we hurt, so does He
Yes he feels our pain

Tears of pity from His eyes
In his cup sadly flow
Till one day when it's full
All out troubles will go
We will dance, we will fly
In the sky like the birds
And I cry, little one
'Cause I'm touched by your words

One more question, Daddy dear
Answer please, if you will
Just how deep is this cup
Tell me when will it fill
DOn't you think it is time
that the sun forever shine
DOn't you think it is time
Dear Daddy of mine

Little one, it is time
And I've questioned that too
So Let us ask Him together
Together me and you
Father dear, do You hear
Our worries, our fears
Will your eyes ever dry
Is your cup filled with tears

Ari Goldwag Am Echad - One Nation - Music Video Ari Goldwag whose most famous compositions is the late hit "Yesh Tikvah" recorded by Benny Friedman, released this new music video, with equally inspiring message.

Translation:
When I am for myself
And you are not with me
What am I when I am separate?
For I am a Jew
I do not go alone
Just with you, my friend, hand in hand
One nation, one song
Come my brother and give me your hand
And we will rejoice and dance together
As one person, with one heart
I don't want want to be alone,
Just forever brothers sitting together
To be a family
Is the secret of joy
For everything is better together
And we sing
All Israel are friends
We won't give up on anyone

If we can successfully love
And sing 'how pleasant..'
The Moshiach will come soon

Ari Goldwag: Lev Tahor

Sometimes Hashem blesses us with a chance to touch a moment of spirituality and purity. King David asked that that pure heart be created within him, and that spirit be renewed within him. "Don't send me away from You, and do not take away Your holy spirit from me." (Tehillim/Psalms 51)

Ani Ma'amin: I Believe by Ari Goldwag

Ari Goldwag, who in his younger days was the lead singer of the Miami Boys Choir, beautifully puts to music the first of the Rambam's 13 Principles of faith and the basis of the Jewish religion: "I believe with a full and complete belief that The Creator blessed be His Name is Creator and Director of all creations, and He alone did, does, and will do every deed." This is all you need to know to succeed in life. Have a wonderful Shabbat!

Ari Goldwag: Ani Avdecho

Chanuka is both immensely meaningful and deeply joyous; this is a perfect description of the following rare video clip of  singer, composer, and Torah scholar Avi Goldwag, who was the child-prodigy lead singer of the Miami Boy's Choir - singing Ani Avdecho ("I am your servant") from Psalm 116 that we say in the "Hallel" every day during Chanuka. This melody brings me to tears of joy and a yearning to cling to Hashem. Enjoy, and have a happy Chanuka and Shabbat Miketz.
