BREAKING NEWS: MAJOR BIBLICAL DISCOVERY ROCKS THE WORLD – MUSLIMS ARE LIVID by Shari Menzel

This is exciting! Archeologists have made a biblical discovery that is the first of its kind! Muslims are pissed because there is new evidence that the Jews ruled Israel long before Palestinians claimed the land.
Charisma News reports that the royal seal of Kind Hezekiah, who ruled around 700 B.C. has been added to the nation’s extensive collection of ancient artifacts.
Hezekiah was described in the bible as a daring monarch- “There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him” (2 Kings 18:5)-who was dedicated to eliminating idolatry in his kingdom.
This is the first time that a seal impression of an Israelite or Judean king has ever come to light in a scientific archaeological excavation,’’ Mazar said.
The detailed clay seal, known as a bulla, was uncovered near the southern part of the wall surrounding Jerusalem’s Old City. It was mistakenly buried in a refuse dump around the time of the Israelite king.

After five years of research, a team member was able to decipher the text.
The dots help separate the words:”Belonging to Hezekiah (son of) Ahaz king of Judah.” “It’s always a question, what are the real facts behind biblical stories,” Mazar said. “Here we have a chance to get as close as possible to the person himself, to the king himself.”
Researchers were ecstatic to reveal that they have stumbled upon the first found seal of a biblical Israelite king.

However this discovery not only has a biblical significance, but is relevant to Palestine conflict today. The word “Palestine” is believed by many to be a name derived from the Egyptian and Hebrew term for “migrants” or “wanderers”, and comes from the biblical tribe of the Philistines, who were barbaric nomads determined to conquer the Israelite. However, as the bible describes, the Philistines’ giant fighter, Goliath, was defeated by a shepherd named David, who went on to become the king of Israel in the 10th century B.C.
This seal precedes even the earliest mention of an official derivative of Palestine- 200 years after King Hezekiah.
This means there is tangible proof that an Israelite king ruled the area known as Israel today long before anyone mildly considered a Palestinian lived in the area.
So all the claims of Islam being the true ancestral owners of the land that Israel now occupies and the claims that Israel stole the land given them by “Allah” are all FALSE!
One thing is for sure, what happens next is going to be an awesome manifestation of biblical prophecy unfolding right before our eyes!!

Elder of Ziyon: Mondoweiss' Editor at Large claims no evidence of Jewish Temples on Temple Mount

Annie Robbins is the "Editor at Large for Mondoweiss, a mother, a human rights activist and a ceramic artist."

In one of her typically hateful pieces about how Jews are somehow taking Islamic heritage away from the second holiest Jewish site, a commenter notes:
The Tomb of the Patriarchs was the most important site for Jews prior to the building of the Jewish Temples in Jerusalem, on top of which now stand the Dome of the Rock and Aksa Mosque.
Annie replies:
allegedly. there’s no proof that was the location of some grand temple. maybe lots of jewish stuff retroactively lands itself right underneath islamic structures. did you ever think of that? jealous much?
Its one thing when idiotic Arabs say that there is no evidence of any Jewish presence in the area and every bit of archaeology found there is fake, but now those same easily provable lies are being pushed by Mondoweiss!

Not only that, but she has the stupidity to float the idea that Jews are so jealous of Islamic monuments that they make up a fake Jewish history after the fact! And she's an editor at a site that actually gains some respect from the Left???

Let's just throw out Josephus, the Talmud, the very stones which have been dated before Islam, tons of archaeological findings in the area, everything it says in both the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Scriptures, and so forth, and pretend that a 7th century Islamic structure pre-dates all of those!

If Robbins was an editor of any normal American newspaper, she'd be fired in an instant for proving herself to have no grasp of reality, and - more importantly - for proving that her hate for Israel is more important than well-established facts. Seriously, Temple denial - at least Second Temple denial - is not much different than Holocaust denial in its goal and its a-historical nature. It is pure antisemitism.

But this is Mondoweiss, so no one will say anything. Robbins will continue to "report" her lies and they will be believed by the thousands of unthinking drones who read it.

ELDER OF ZION: Al Aqsa Foundation declares all Biblical archaeology to be lies

The Al Aqsa Foundation issued a statement today saying that every piece of evidence that points to the existence of any Jewish Temple - first or second - on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is a lie.

The group says that it rejects these myths and confirma the Islamic and Arab character of the area.

According to the statement, they say that all the experts in the Israel Antiquities Authority who claim they found stones and jewelry and seals in the area of the Al Aqsa Mosque, claiming they are archaeological discoveries of Jewish objects dating from the time of the First and Second Temples, are lying, since there were no Temples. The group said "these lies and myths are a figment of the imagination," and said that international and even Israeli archaeologists have confirmed through research and vigorous exploration that was scientific and objective that there were no structures in the area that were Jewish temples.

They stressed that Arabs Canaanites were the first residents who built Jerusalem, with Jebusites and Amorites living there for thousands of years, while "the Jews" were there for only a short time.

The Al-Aqsa Foundation says that the Israel Antiquities Authority and other groups are trying desperately to fabricate history of Hebrew presence in Jerusalem, through the myths and legends of the alleged phantom structure in the place of or under the Al Aqsa Mosque, to the point of wanting to demolish the mosque. The groups asserted that the real history is clear and it has proved beyond a doubt that the al-Aqsa mosque is for Muslims alone,

The foundation even says that relics found by sifting through the tons of debris that were criminally excavated from the site by the Islamic Waqf and dumped outside Jerusalem were really not from the Temple area at all.

They even illustrate the article with some of these lying relics.

It is true that there is only fragmentary yet intriguing archaeological  evidence so far of the First Temple, because it was replaced by the Second Temple and no one is allowed to dig underneath the Temple Mount to look for it. But lots of the Second Temple is still there, as Wikipedia summarizes:

After 1967, archaeologists found that the wall extended all the way around the Temple Mount and is part of the city wall near the Lion's Gate. Thus, the Western Wall is not the only remaining part of the Temple Mount. Currently, Robinson's Arch (named after American Edward Robinson) remains as the beginning of an arch that spanned the gap between the top of the platform and the higher ground farther away. This had been used by the priests as an entrance. Commoners had entered through the still-extant, but now plugged, gates on the southern side which led through beautiful colonnades to the top of the platform. One of these colonnades is still extant and reachable through the Temple Mount. The Southern wall was designed as a grand entrance. Recent archeological digs have found thousands of mikvehs (ceremonial bathtubs) for the ritual purification of the worshipers, as well as a grand stairway leading to the now blocked entrance. Inside the walls, the platform was supported by a series of vaulted archways, now called Solomon's Stables, which still exist and whose current renovation by the Waqf is extremely controversial. The temple itself was constructed of imported white marble that gleamed in the daylight.
On September 25, 2007 Yuval Baruch, archaeologist with the Israeli Antiquities Authority announced the discovery of a quarry compound which may have provided King Herod with the stones to build his Temple on the Temple Mount. Coins, pottery and an iron stake found proved the date of the quarrying to be about 19 BCE. Archaeologist Ehud Netzer confirmed that the large outlines of the stone cuts is evidence that it was a massive public project worked by hundreds of slaves.[30]
Moreover, there is a significant and growing collection of artifacts that verify specific parts of the Biblical narrative.

But I guess they are all fake too.

Also, as I learned during my tour of the Temple Mount earlier this year, the Al Aqsa Mosque itself was constructed on top of the Herodian extensions of the Mount, meaning that the Temple was not underneath it - the Temple was where the Dome of the Rock is.

The Palestinian Arabs' reckless disregard for Jewish heritage

In the light of UNESCO's acceptance of "Palestine" as a full member, David M. Weinberg in Israel HaYom documents how the Palestinian Arabs have not only been endangering any trace of Jewish history and culture in areas they control, but often actively destroy it:

Jewish synagogues and holy sites in Jericho, Nablus and Gush Katif were torched to the ground while Palestinian police looked on.

In 1996, Palestinian mobs assaulted Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem, and Palestinian policemen on the scene shot and wounded the Israeli soldiers guarding the tomb. Ever since, the site has been sheathed in high concrete barriers, turning it into a Fort Knox-like encampment. Then a Palestinian mob led by Palestinian policemen assaulted Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus, torched the synagogue inside, and opened fire on Israeli troops at the site, killing six Israeli soldiers.

In 2000, Palestinian mobs once again attacked. They killed one Israeli soldier and destroyed the building. Palestinian forces again took part. The Shalom Al Yisrael synagogue in Jericho with its unique Byzantine-era mosaic floor was also torched. Today, Israelis have only sporadic access to the site.

As for Gush Katif, the wild Palestinian mob destruction of all the synagogues there is just too fresh and painful a wound to talk about ...

Under Palestinian rule, Tulul Abu el Alayiq, near Wadi Qelt and Jericho, has been left to decay. This is an important archaeological site where Hasmonian kings and Herod built their winter palaces. The nearby Naaran synagogue -- perhaps the earliest synagogue in Israel -- is threatened by Palestinian real estate developers who are building practically atop the site. Israeli archaeologists who have managed to visit there say that the Palestinian Authority has let the place rot.

The authority has also allowed villagers to encroach upon the important synagogue remains in Eshtemoa in the southern Mount Hebron area. Neither Israeli archaeologists nor Israeli worshippers and tourists have access to the site (which is located in Area B), despite the fact that the Oslo Accords supposedly guaranteed this.

It is important to note that these three sites are specified by name in the appendices to the Oslo Accords, and defined as historical and religious sites which the Palestinian Authority is supposed to preserve, and to which they are supposed to provide access for Israelis.

The greatest crime of all -- an antiquities crime of historic proportions -- has been committed over recent years by the Palestinian Wakf on the Temple Mount. In 1999, the Wakf dug out hundreds of truckloads of dirt from caverns known as Solomon’s Stables beneath the upper plaza (more than 1,600 square meters in area and 15 meters deep) without any archaeological supervision or records. Thousands of tons of earth rich in archaeological remains, from all periods of the Temple Mount, were haphazardly dumped into the Kidron Valley and the city garbage dump at El-Azaria. The Wakf also destroyed stonework done by Jewish artisans 2,000 years ago in the underground “double passageway.”

Thousands of years of layered history -- Jewish history, of course -- were gouged out the ground with heavy machinery and shoveled out of sight. UNESCO didn’t even burp.

Israeli archaeological students are still sifting through this precious rubble, and have found numerous antiquities from the First and Second Temple periods, including stone weights for weighing silver, and a First Temple period bulla (seal impression) containing ancient Hebrew writing which may have belonged to a well-known family of priests mentioned in the Book of Jeremiah. Other findings are from the late period of the Kings of Judea (7th and 8th centuries BCE), including about 1,000 ancient coins, jewelry made of various materials, stone and glass squares from floor and wall mosaics, and many other items.
He also documents some destruction of Christian historic and religious sites.

UNESCO is silent, of course.

PA Uses Archaeology ‘To Rewrite History of Palestine’ PA says archaeology dig in Shechem, which the Bible says was bought by Jacob, will help “writing or rewriting the history of Palestine."

The Palestinian Authority is renewing an archaeology dig in Shechem, which the Bible records was bought by Jacob (Yaakov). The director  of the PA's Department of Antiquities, Hamdan Taha, says the dig will help in “writing or rewriting the history of Palestine.”
Muslim clerics often have rewritten the Bible, claiming that the “binding of Isaac (Yitzchak)" actually refers to Ishmael. Clerics in the Palestinian Authority and the entire Muslim world also have frequently argued that the Holy Temples never existed and that Rachel's Tomb at Bethlehem actually is an ancient Muslim holy site.
Shechem appears to be next in line. Taha told the Associated Press that the history of the area, including the Biblical period, is part of “Palestinian history.”
He added that the renewed dig of the Shechem site will “give Palestinians the opportunity to participate in writing or rewriting the history of Palestine from its primary sources."
Indications of the thinking of mainstream media were evident in the AP report, which noted that “Abraham's grandson Jacob was camped outside the walls when a local Canaanite prince raped his daughter, Dinah. Jacob's sons sacked the city in vengeance. The body of Jacob's son Joseph was brought from Egypt hundreds of years later by the fleeing Israelites and buried at Shechem.”
However, the most important element of the Biblical story was omitted – the purchase of Shechem by Jacob, making the city one of three Biblical sites bought for the Jewish people. The other two are the Patriarch’s Cave and surrounding fields in Hevron, purchased by Abraham, and the city of Jerusalem, purchased by King David.
The remains at the Tel Balata archeological site in Shechem show that there were huge gates at the entrance to the ancient city.
Work at the site began a century ago but was stopped with the onset of World War I.
