Elder Of Ziyon - Israel News: Deprived Arab boy complains he cannot play soccer on Temple Mount every day

This is not a joke.

Hona Al Quds has an article about poor Mohamed Ghalib Laban, who lives in Jerusalem.

12-year old Ban likes to go with his friends to play soccer every day at his local playground, which happens to be the Temple Mount. But on some days the evil Jewish settlers come, protected by police, and he is not allowed to play, saying "Occupation police stopped us from bringing the ball when the settlers invaded, because the little ball frightened them."

The title of the article is "Mohamed Laban deprived of playing in Al Aqsa."

If it wasn't for those damn Jews who keep desecrating the Al Aqsa Mosque, young Mohamed would be able to play all he wants.

If that's not a reason for attacking the storming Jews with axes and cleavers, I don't know what is.

I imagine that Human Rights Watch will issue a 85 page report on this violation of international humanitarian law any day now.

Temple Mount Reopened to Jews and Arab Soccer Game Halted (+ Video)

Police confiscate a soccer ball, after Arab children ignore the order to stop playing soccer on the Temple Mount.

Police confiscate a soccer ball, after Arab children ignore the order to stop playing soccer on the Temple Mount. After the Temple Mount was closed to Jews for almost a week, the Israeli police permitted Jewish access to the holy site on Sunday. The police closed the site after a group of Jews had the audacity to pray ‘Shema Yisrael’ out loud and then pulled out an Israeli flag. Dozens of Jews went up to the Temple Mount on Sunday. In what is an unusual response, after the Jewish visitors complained to the police about the Arabs playing soccer on the Temple Mount, which is both illegal and disrespectful, the police actually confiscated the ball, and stopped the game. At best, the Arabs simply ignore the police, and at worst, the the police simply let the soccer games continue unabated, despite the court order forbidding this disrespect on the Judaism’s holiest site.

ELDER OF ZIYON: Arab boys still desecrating Temple Mount with soccer games

Last month I noted that Israel's Public Security Minister had promised to have the police enforce a ban on Arabs playing soccer on Judaism's holiest site, the Temple Mount. I guess it was too good to be true, as this new short video shows:

Remember: Jews respectfully walking around their holiest place is "desecration" and "incitement." Arabs playing soccer, throwing stones and firebombs are fine. These are the rules that the world somehow swallows without question.

ELDER OF ZIYON: Police promise no more soccer on Temple Mount!

Fantastic news from Arutz-7. We will see if it pans out:
Jews have long complained about the activities by Muslims on the Mount deemed inappropriate to a holy place, such as barbecues, picnics, and political demonstrations. One of the worst desecrations, say many Jews involved in the issue, are the soccer games that take place in the open areas of the mount, with the attendant cursing, fighting, and other unholy behavior. The High Court several years ago banned the practice, in response to several petitions – but police have never enforced the law.

That will now change, said Ahronovich.

Responding to a Knesset query filed last June by Feiglin, in the wake of an incident in which Jews grabbed a soccer ball being used for an illegal game, and gave it to police – who promptly returned it to the players – Ahronovich said that the police are obligated to uphold the law, and they will.

“The officers acted in contradiction to the law and their obligations,” Ahronovich said. “The query by MK Feiglin is definitely appropriate. Police will from now on conscientiously enforce the law, and I have ordered police commanders to do so. Police are already working through several channels that the sanctity of the site is preserved,” he added.
Mrs. Elder took video of one of the games last February:

It will be most interesting to hear the outrage from Muslims at not being allowed to treat their "third holiest site" as a playground.

But AP has already given them one excuse, saying that since there are no open spaces in the Old City, Muslim kids have no choice but to use it for soccer and volleyball and snowball fights.

But Jews walking and trying to pray there? That, you see, is "desecration."

Complaint against Temple Mount soccer

Last year, for Tisha B'Av, I posted an article with videos and photos about the daily desecration of the Temple Mount done by Muslims, symbolized by the fact that they routinely play soccer in their supposedly "third holiest place."

And a couple of months ago I showed how AP justified the soccer (and volleyball!) by saying that it was one of the few open spaces for Muslims in Jerusalem, so it is essentially a park, not just a holy place.

One Israeli has apparently had enough:

David Vazna filed a complaint, Thursday, with the Moriah police in Jerusalem, regarding Arabs playing soccer on the Temple Mount. He says the game is an insult and desecration of a holy place, which carries a sentence of a year in prison.

He said that friends serving in police positions at the holy site asked for his assistance in dealing with the daily phenomenon. Vazna says the office of Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin told him it would respond to his request to use its influence to get the police to act to eliminate the practice.
The article is over a week old, and I haven't heard anything since, but we need more people to complain about this constant desecration of Judaism's holiest place.
