"Stoning" Attack on Israeli Car

MY THEORY - I was trying to figure out why the Palestinians would invite videographers and photographers to witness their criminal/terrorist actions. Their high level of perverse hatred/evil plus their low level of intelligence might be one plausible answer. However, I have come up with something else. I suspect that the Arabs were trying to instigate a response from the Jewish drivers (i.e. a driver pulling a weapon or one who elected to barrel through the mob). IMHO these responses would have been warranted, however, if the Arabs were able to catch such a response on video, they would be able to use it to vilify the people and the State of Israel. Naturally, regardless of how ridiculous the accusations may have been, Israel would nonetheless capitulate and offer some sort of concession to the Palestinians as an appeasement. This is sort of the way things go here. Fortunately nobody was seriously hurt and the "Peace-Loving" Palestinians continue to show their true colors to the world.

Leslie Stahl can't understand that the 'peace talks' have been going on for 17 years and have gone nowhere. Life cannot be stopped forever for the 'peace talks.' By the way, I think the archeologist was brilliant. And the young couple didn't do too badly either.

ISRAEL MATZAV: And again: Jewish drivers stoned in Jerusalem; Palestinians ambush Jews with rocks and photographers

Once again, Jewish drivers were stoned in Jerusalem's Silwan neighborhood on Sunday. Here's a lengthy report from Israel's Channel 2.


Note what Be'eri says at the end about Friday's stoning and how the car behind him set him up. The police ought to be able to get the license plate of that car and find the driver. But they won't. On Monday morning, Jewish residents of predominantly Arab parts of Jerusalem called for the police Inspector General Dudi Cohen to fire Jerusalem chief Ilan Franco, because the Jerusalem police refuse to protect the Jewish residents in that part of the city.

Note also the size of the rocks in Ms. Levy's car - they aren't little pebbles, are they? As I've pointed out to you many times before, rocks thrown at cars can be deadly.

What to do when in risk of being lynched

David Beeri ran over a kid when driving in the Silwan area. Beeri is director of the amuta "ELAD" which runs City of David and the archaeological digs. Beeri is by all accounts a good guy and not a rash or extremist settler, and he has generally good relations with Arabs.

Yet he is under attack as he was driving through Silwan and came upon a staged ambush - they had all the cameramen present and waiting for some good video - as a bunch of Arab kids were throwing rocks at cars. As they approached his car and prepared to throw rocks at it, Beeri says he froze and then realized his life was in danger so he sped up. He lost control for a moment and swerved, but regained control of the car. He hit two of the kids and kept on driving. he says the other option was to use his personal gun which he preferred not to do.

The video, which again shows that the attack, even though they were kids, was premeditated, also shows that his car windows were shattered by those little kids and little rocks, which shows how much danger he would have been in had he stuck around and let them attack him.

Beeri is now under investigation, but after the police saw the video they released him with guarantees, as the video indicates strongly that he did not run them over with intent, but to protect himself.
