The Other Video Shows A Quite Different Story

Remember this post from a few days ago, from a Muslim camera, of a verbal altercation with Muslims yelling nationalist slogans at Jews who already were outside the Temple Mount compound?

Well, I now have the video filmed by the student of the Haifa Yeshiva.

You will see them on their way out, first taking a group photograph and then going out the Chain Gate to dance.

Almost 9 minutes later (!), at 8:50, some Muslims decide to begin chanting and yelling in order to cause a provocation.  The students are not in the Temple Mount and haven't been for almost 9 minutes.

The source of the incitement:

The head of the Islamic movement in the Palestinian territories, Sheikh Raed Salah, that there is very serious evidence confirming that crazy hysterical attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque may increase after the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

He said, "Therefore, we say Wake O Muslims and Arabs, the maximum risk increases him as he seeks the help of all of you even win him from Israeli occupation."

...Said Sheikh Raed Salah, "It has become clear to us that Israel occupation groups stormed the Al Aqsa Mosque, that Israel intelligence is pushing them to do these raids, of course, and the goal is clear: that Israel's intelligence paid them to commit these raids until cumulative results, after a series of covet incursions will impose a division of the Al-Aqsa Mosque to achieve their coveted black dream which will not be achieved, God willing, which is building the structure of a mythical place on the Al-Aqsa Mosque. "

He added, "An example is what happened today as dozens of Israeli extremists of the more than 180 extremists have stormed the al-Aqsa mosque, at the same time they were setting up tents on the Islamic cemetery grounds [Mamilla], which is only several hundred meters from the mosque, claiming that they try to revive the destruction of the Temple...[and]...the statement, very dangerous, of the Minister of Infrastructure Israeli named Uri Ariel who said publicly a few days ago, frankly and without hesitation and with all the chutzpah "it came time to build the structure of the fabled liar on the ruins of Al-Aqsa Mosque", I mean we are talking very serious and clues are getting on Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. "

The face of Sheikh Salah expressed a distress call, saying "I appeal to every Muslim nation and the Arab world leadership and their people, and proclaim as well as our Palestinian patient to tell them that there is evidence of a very serious, confirming that the attacks crazy hysterical on the Al-Aqsa Mosque may increase after the end of the month of Ramadan, so we say Wake O Muslims and Arabs , the maximum risk increases him as he seeks the help of all of you even win him from Israeli occupation."

If This Were MY Child....

I don't know what I would do other than be deeply ashamed. Certainly, these children are further examples of the manipulation of their society; mere objects to be videotaped as they play their role.

I am proud of our soldiers in this video - deeply proud that they were able to smile. I loved their smiles; I loved their laughing. These children represent so much of what is wrong with Palestinians society.

So-called adults using their children, hiding behind them.

The inability to talk - rather to shout and scream.

The antagonism - blind hatred in the face of nothing. These soldiers are just standing there...throughout.

Hostility and violence - the only time the soldiers come close to reacting is when the children come close to their guns. They take their ranting, screaming, hysterics. They even take being pushed around a bit.

And through it all, they realize that this is a show put on for the cameras. Obviously, the IDF felt as I did - they posted this video - first put on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/sam4palestine?feature=watch) to show, as I do - the arrogance, the hatred, the violence...

The original posters were able to remove it (as I assume they will remove it from my blog, if they find it here). So, if below, you see a message that the video has been removed, rather than the video, please use the link in the previous paragraph. Look at the children...

I think they are close to my youngest daughter's age. My daughter is all that is grace. Gentle, sweet, loving, kind. Even in anger, she would never approach another and scream as these young girls do. The girl in the video is being raised in a different culture - one in which her father would kill her...literally...if she were to "flirt" with a boy or even be seen talking to one - and yet look how close she moves to the soldiers. And amazingly enough, the Arabs are so proud of this behavior, they flaunt it, they post it, they share it. If this were my child, I would be so deeply ashamed.

But these children are being raised in hatred and hatred is what they will know. And the soldiers - they smile because they realize the absurdity of it all. They remain, always, in control - enough not to get angry at the provocation, at the abuse of children that is in the nature of using children to fight your battles.

If this were my child....but of course, it could never be. I have done my best to raise them in honor, in respect, in life, in love. These soldiers will finish their week and go home to their families, to their mothers. They might even show them the YouTube videos that have made them "famous." And, if they were mine, I would kiss the tops of their heads and tell them, "you did good." And I would bake them brownies and send them back to the army next week and tell them to be careful...even from little girls.

Today, in the midst of a screaming Arab mob throwing rocks...an Arab stabbed a soldier; a bomb went off near Gaza, wounding three soldiers. The most precious response these soldiers could give these children was the smile and laughter of a nation that does not fear.

Arabs Sending Children to Provoke and Be Killed by Israeli Soldiers Placing innocent Palestinian children in potentially dangerous situations, cynically hoping for a media coup stemming from any overreaction by IDF soldiers, is indeed shameful.

On Sept. 12, Tamar Sternthal (director of the Israel office for CAMERA) reported on the dangerous use of children by Palestinian protesters to score political points, in ‘Cheap Shots: Palestinians put kids in the line of fire‘.

“There’s nothing like a photograph of an innocent child caught up in military conflict to elicit sympathy, rage, and at times, international intervention.

On a media stage far away from Hollywood, in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh, where photographers gather every Friday to document repetitious scenes of Palestinian residents and international activists clashing with Israeli soldiers, Palestinian activists are placing their children in ever-more-visible roles. Unlike scenes in “Wag the Dog,” a black comedy, there’s nothing funny about parents exploiting their own children to score propaganda points in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Unfortunately, that’s just what happened on Friday, August 24, when A’hd Tamimi, and her cousin Marah Tamimi, both 11, were photographed by Agence France-Presse tearfully being restrained by Israeli soldiers.

Days later, photos of the distraught girls appeared in Australia’s Fairfax media outlets alongside a Page-1 article charging the Israeli army with the routine abuse of Palestinian children. “An Israeli soldier restrains a Palestinian girl crying over the arrest of her mother during a protest over land confiscation in al-Nabi Saleh,” stated one caption in the Age and the Sydney Morning Herald.

Slamming the article’s “unnamed sources, hearsay and propaganda,” Philip Chester, president of the Zionist Federation of Australia, also charged that the Palestinian leadership “blatantly use[s] children” and “presents a fable where Israel’s curtailing of violence is tantamount to abuse of children.”

Chester was not specifically addressing the photographs of the appealing young Tamimi girls under the thumb of the Israeli military, but he may as well have been.

A’hd is the daughter of Narimen and Bassem, prominent activists in the Popular Resistance, and Marah’s father is Naji, another leader in the weekly demonstrations.

In other words, the girls’ parents are among those who determine the protests’ strategies. Rather than keeping their children at a safe distance from the often-violent clashes, the parents encouraged their children to play highly visible roles in the confrontation with the army.

Narimen is a participant in B’Tselem’s video project, in which the prominent Israeli NGO distributes video cameras to Palestinians to “present the reality of their lives to the Israeli and the international public.”

This is not the first time she has exploited children and distorted reality. In a 2011 video of the arrest of an 11-year-old stone-thrower, Narimen filmed as a Palestinian man instructed the boy’s mother not to join him on the police vehicle, even while Israeli authorities repeatedly asked her to board the van. Later media reports falsely claimed that the Israeli police forbade his parents from accompanying him.

Despite complaints about her cynical exploitation of Palestinian children in order to produce anti-Israel propaganda, Narimen has not stopped using children as props. To the contrary, she has since enlisted her own daughter.

In a 16-minute video posted on the Nabi Saleh Solidarity blog, the two girls can be seen leading a crowd marching toward a spring that the army has deemed off-limits. A’hd and Marah are filmed at length, cursing the soldiers and trying to get around them. Marah can be seen running some distance to approach and confront soldiers. And when Narimen and two other women are arrested, the girls refuse to let go, interfering with the arrests. An army spokesman later said that the detainees, who were held for a few hours, had been throwing rocks.”

But, that isn’t all.

The site where the photo was published, Nabi Selah Solidarity, added the following:

“The actions of A’hd Tamimi and Marah Tamimi, the two young girls who attempted to prevent the arrest of non-violent resistance leader Nariman Tamimi by Israeli Occupation Forces on Friday, was recognised on Monday.  A’hd is the daughter of  Nariman and Palestinian non-violent resistance leader Bassem Tamimi who was jailed for over year for leading the non-violent resistance in Nabi Saleh.  Marah is the daugher of  Naji Tamimi, another Nabi Saleh non-violent resistance leader who was also jailed for over a year for his non-violent opposition to Israel’s military occupation.”

But, the exploitation of the two girls has not ended.

The Algemeiner reported the following, in ‘Video captures Palestinian girl attempting to provoke IDF‘, Nov. 5:

“A video shot at a Friday protest in the village of Nabi Salih, in the central West Bank, captured a striking image: that of a young Palestinian girl [A'hd Tamimi] attempting to provoke Israeli soldiers. Soon thereafter the girl is joined by many other seemingly young-looking people from the village.

A senior IDF source told Ynet that intelligence indicates that pro-Palestinian activists pay Palestinian children from Nabi Salih and other nearby villages to confront the soldiers. “The soldiers are briefed on the fact that these protests are staged for the sake of provocation, so that they could be filmed acting violently and so that those videos could be distributed worldwide in an effort to harm the IDF’s image,” the officer said.

According to Ynet, Abir Kubati, spokesperson of the popular protest coordination committee, said: “I don’t understand what the army wants – they send soldiers into a Palestinian village and then dare to depict themselves as victims because the residents don’t welcome them.”

“You’re a traitor! I know you speak Arabic. Our soldiers are stronger than you! I’ll smash your head,” the 10-year-old girl is heard in the video screaming at the soldier in Arabic, according to a translation provided by Ynet.”

Placing innocent Palestinian children in potentially dangerous situations, cynically hoping for a media coup stemming from any overreaction by IDF soldiers, is indeed shameful.

However,  such provocations by the Tamimis pale in comparison to an antisemitic Palestinian political culture which consistently sends messages to their youth that martyrdom – dying, or even murdering Israeli Jews, to advance the Palestinian cause – is one of the most important political values they should aspire to.

I thought that his name for her, "Shirley Temper," was brilliant, so I worked with him to create a shorter, more musical version of the video based on his original:

By the way, this same girl - A'hd Tamimi, the daughter of of the leader of the Nabi Saleh protests - has been given an award by Mahmoud Abbas for her stagecraft, and CAMERA noticed already last September how she was being used as a propaganda tool. It is a must-read article to understand the background of how children are indoctrinated in Pallywood.

Arab media enamored with staged video of girl confronting IDF soldiers

This video is going around Arab websites and Facebook:



It is allegedly a girl, along with others, protesting her brother being arrested in Nabi Saleh last Friday, presumably for throwing stones.

Notice how the girl as well as the adult Arabs who are videoing her have absolutely no fear that the Zionist soldiers will hurt them. She even shoves a soldier at one point without thinking that he might retaliate.

The video is supposedly about the girl's bravery, but in fact it shows IDF forbearance.

If the IDF was as evil as they are portrayed in the Arab media, then why are none of the Arabs there afraid that they will be mowed down with bullets? After all, these sorts of actions in many Arab states would indeed be met with arrests, broken bones or deadly gunfire.

Apparently, the Arabs who are under Israel's punishing "occupation" know the truth of how the IDF acts is quite different from how it is described in rallies on Western college campuses.

But there is a punchline.
As Israellycool notes, this same girl, wearing the same shirt, was seen doing pretty much the same thing a few months ago:

What an astonishing coincidence! The very same girl, after becoming a poster child for Israeli brutality, is now back and trying as hard as she can to provoke soldiers again while a half dozen people are conveniently around to videotape her screams!

It puts this video in a whole new light, doesn't it?

Pallywood Blondie And Friends Assaulting IDF Soldiers

Yesterday, I posted about the blonde palestinian child who seemed to be trying to coax an IDF soldier into restraining her for the latest installment of Pallywood.

I’ve now located the video, and as you’ll see, some of the children assault the soldiers, with blondie even grabbing at a soldier’s gun, encouraged by the adults. Yet the soldiers show amazing restraint.

Update: The blonde girl is a fixture at Nabi Saleh protests, and I believe it is her who appears briefly at 0:50 in the below excerpt for the documentary We are Nabi Saleh.

A picture you'll never see in the liberal mainstream media

YNET: Palestinians block road to Jerusalem Dozens block route 443 to protest uprooting of olive trees for which they blame settlers

Palestinians from the village of Ur al-Tahta briefly blocked route 443 to Jerusalem on Tuesday to protest the uprooting of trees.

They are claiming that settlers are behind the acts of sabotage. The protesters carried Palestinian flags and anti-occupation banners.

  

IDF forces called to the scene clashed with the protesters in an attempt to clear them from the road. They used shock grenades and ultimately succeeded in clearing the road.

 Recently, as the olive-picking season reached its height, both Palestinians and settlers were constantly filing complaints in regards to felling olive trees and robbing crops.

Palestinian farmers who filed complaints on Monday, stating that olive trees in their possession were chopped down, were documented earlier as they were felling olive trees. The complainants claim that the trees they were cutting were growing in a different plot from the one in question.
