Israel’s Magen David Adom medical crews were on the tarmac at Ben Gurion Airport shortly after midnight Sunday to rush to local hospitals 13 Israelis who were injured in a fatal car crash during a tour of Georgia in the former Soviet Bloc.
Magen David crews were in contact with their counterparts in Georgia and with the Foreign Ministry all day, after the tourists’ min-bus was involved in the crash. One person is in serious condition, and six others suffered moderate injuries. All of the wounded were evacuated to Tel HaShomer, Asaf HaRofeh and Belinson hospitals.
