SWC Urges CafePress to Remove “I Love Jews But Hate Israel” Products from Website

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is urging CafePress, the online retailer that sells custom printed products, to remove a t-shirt, as well as mugs, buttons, aprons and related products, imprinted with the slogan “I Love Jews But Hate Israel” from its site (http://www.cafepress.com/dd/63792655).
 
In a letter to the San Mateo-based company, Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Wiesenthal Center wrote that products like these t-shirts violate the company’s Terms of Service that prohibit hate and/or racist terms. Cooper wrote that, “Products that proclaim a hatred of Israel also proclaim a hatred of Israel's 6 million Jewish inhabitants as well as millions of supporters, both Jewish and non-Jewish worldwide. In this regard we are asking that you immediately re move the products listed…”
