CAMERA: New Campus Activist Program to Strengthen Pro-Israel Advocacy!

CAMERA is proud to announce the launch of a pilot program aimed at helping students on campuses where there is little or no pro-Israel activism. CCAP, the CAMERA Campus Activist Program, is made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor concerned about students facing anti-Israel hostility and lacking resources and guidance to respond. CAMERA will help fill that gap.

CCAP will assist in creating pro-Israel student organizations on college campuses across the country, enabling like-minded students to present speakers and hold events -- as well as to organize in response to biased activity against the Jewish state.

Opponents of Israel’s right to security, and even its right to exist, have been very active on campus, and more efforts need to be made by the pro-Israel community to expose the falsehoods spread by these detractors. CAMERA’s new initiative will help students further educate their peers about Israel, the Middle East and the Arab-Israeli conflict and will complement our highly successful Fellowship program.

The program will allow students to create recognized student groups on campuses where resources are not already available. We will be supporting students who do not have an active Hillel House or do not have enough funding to promote events that educate about the Jewish state. Students will have autonomous control over the pro-Israel events they choose to hold. CAMERA will act a resource to the students, providing them with guidance and funding for programs.

You can help!

1) Notify friends and family about CCAP and spread the word that CAMERA's new program will assist students who seek to create activist groups to bolster education about Israel and to counter misinformation.

If you know students who need help, urge them to contactAviva@camera.org to inquire about participating in the program.
