Nationalists after Migron: Law Enforcement 'Only Against Jews'
In the wake of the nighttime destruction of three permanent homes at Migron, nationalists accused the government of applying the letter of law to Jewish construction while turning a blind eye to Arabs.
Jewish Home Chairman Prof. Daniel Hershkovitz said Monday, "The demolition of houses at Migron is yet another climax of selective enforcement. While the government receives a report that gives a stamp of kashrut to piratical land grabs by Bedouin in the Negev, through tens of thousands of illegal structures, the enforcement system is eager to bring down its fist on three structures in Judea and Samaria."
Regavim, an NGO that fights for Jewish land rights, blamed Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch. "From the get go, Beinisch drew a bull's-eye on the destruction of homes at Migron as a target, and bent every possible precept of justice and morality for this purpose," the NGO stated. "On the road to the transcendent goal of destroying Migron, Beinisch ignored the claims of purchase of the settlers, the state's involvement in establishing the community and the tens of thousands of Arab structures in the PA that no one dares touch."
"We expect that the same unflinching determination that the State showed tonight toward law enforcement' in Migron to accompany the enforcement of the law toward tens of thousands of Palestinian structures."
