As was the case with the late Rabbi Meir Kahana HY”D, and the sharp increase in dati leumi officers rising in the ranks of the IDF, nothing sparks fear among the secular liberal Israeli like a frum rising star, a person who clings to his emunah, unwilling to compromise, committed to remaining true to Toras Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael and pay the price for this loyalty.
As he finally landed a seat in Knesset after years of struggle, which included civil disobedience and imprisonment, MK Moshe Feiglin is now portrayed as the fanatic, the right-wing Messianic Likudnik who threatens the party. He has been referred to as one yearning for a “totalitarian country based on Halacha”, a non-starter for most Israelis who view a life of adherence to Halacha tantamount to living in Iran or the like.
The film takes us back to the days of the Zo Artzeinu organization, when Feiglin and Shmuel Sackett enlisted tens and possibly hundreds of thousands to oppose the government’s planned land concessions by using civil disobedience.
Feiglin speaks of his childhood, his family, his father, his past and his aspirations for the future. He questions the seemingly blind elected officials who lack a sense of purpose and vision, a lack of clear direction.
