An estimated 25,000 people attended the Levaya held for eleven burnt Sifrei Torah at the Viznitz Bais medrash in Bnei Brak on Thursday afternoon.
A short-circuit during Sukkos sparked a fire that left the Sifrei Torah severely damaged.
The charred Sifrei Torah were placed in clay pots, and buried in the Viznitz plot in Bnei Brak.
Hagon Rav Shmuel Halevi Wosner spoke at the levaya, about Kedushas Beis HaKnesses. He explained that previous gedolim have already explained why the Sefardim were not affected by the Holocaust. "Sefardim are extra careful when it comes to Kedusas Beis HaKnesses."
He called upon everyone to work on themselves in regards to kedushas Bais HaKnesses - by not talking in Shul, and not to use their cell phones. He also told the massive crowd that people should work on themselves in areas of Shmiras Halashon, Kibud Av V'em, and Viohavta Lireacha Kamocha.
HaRav Moshe Landa who is the Av Bais Din of Bnei Brak, and HaRav Yisroel Hager Shlita, the son of the Vizhnitzer Rebbe spoke as well.
Maran Hagon Rav Shteinman Shlita joined the procession while en route to the Kevura.
