Seraphic Secret has long maintained that the Arab Israeli conflict has nothing to do with borders or so-called settlements.
It is an existential conflict.
The Arab Muslim world is a sewer of Jew-hatred that refuses to reconcile itself to a Jewish State.
If the Arabs truly wanted a Palestinian state, they could have one very quickly. All they have to do is renounce violence and recognize the Jewish State. But the Arabs have no interest in building a Palestinian state. Their primary desire is to destroy Israel.
Such depravity is hard for most westerners to comprehend, but it is a fact of life in the Arab Muslim world.
Predictably, President Obama, clueless about foreign affairs and positively stupid when it comes to the middle east, has only made worse an already bad situation. By demanding a freeze on settlements, something the Palestinians never demanded, Obama has, in effect, forced the Palestinians into a position from which there is no retreat. Afterall, they can't allow Obama to be more Palestinian than they.
Personally, I'm relieved.
This farce, this so-called peace process—in fact, a murder process—has gone on long enough.
The Arabs reject the very existence of a Jewish State. And the denial of Jewish history is enshrined in Palestinian culture, an Orwellian construct of lies built upon lies.
Thus Israel should simply inform the Arabs that until they're ready to recognize Israel's 3,000 year old claim to her homeland there is nothing to talk about.
Israel is a vibrant, free market democracy, and the lack of a formal peace with her numerous enemies will make little difference.
Palestinian society is a fragmented theocratic tyranny that thrives on Jew-hatred, and marinates in victimhood.
It's time to FADE TO BLACK on this narrative.
The Jewish people will endure and thrive.
The Arabs will sink deeper into nihilism and civil war.
Here it is, in black and white.
Israel has offered a compromise. It will impose a further building freeze in the West Bank if the Palestinian government acknowledges in return the Jewish character of the State of Israel.
The Palestinians are emphatic in their rejection of such a deal.
"We forcefully reject all these Israeli games," said Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, according to the Jerusalem Post. "The racist demands of Netanyahu cannot be tied to the request to cease building in the settlements for the purpose of establishing a state."
A spokesman for P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas also rejected Netanyahu's offer. "The topic of the Jewishness of the state is not connected at all to the issue [of the building freeze]," the spokesman said Monday.
So, after 62 years of independence and decades of attempted peace making, Israel can not get its peace partner, the Palestinian Authority, to acknowledge the most fundamental characteristic of the State of Israel: It is a Jewish state, founded by Jews, created for Jews, because the rest of the world showed that it did not want Jews.
